McPike Moving for Arthritis

Hi and welcome to my Arthritis Foundation pledge page!!

As you may know by now, I ran with the Joints in Motion Training Team in the Dublin City Marathon (yes, in Ireland!) on October 29, 2001. We ran to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation. I raised over $4,300 as a result of an incredible response to my letter drive. Thanks to all of you who have already donated!!

The Arthritis Foundation devotes more than 11 million dollars annually to research and is leading the way to more successful treatments. The Arthritis Foundation also makes a difference in the lives of those affected by arthritis by providing programs that help people with arthritis and their families better understand and cope with their disease.

Supporting the Arthritis Foundation by participating in the Dublin City Marathon was an incredible experience for me.

For more information on donations, please click on the DONATE link to the left.

I ran in honor of a good friend of mine, Jen Marie Parker. To read about why I chose Jen Marie as my honoree and why I joined Joints in Motion, please view my DIARY entry from 7/24/2001

This was my second marathon. Pictures of my first marathon (Marine Corps Marathon 2000) were taken by my dad - thanks Dad!

I also ran in the Washington DC Marathon on March 24, 2002. For other marathon info and/or to see comments about any of these marathons, go to Marathon Guides.

Thank you very much for your support, and for visiting my pledge page. Please sign my GUESTBOOK before you leave!!
